NEWTON STABILIZED HEAD ON A BLACK ARM - COMPACT BUT POWERFUL ON A TRACKING CAR
By using a tracking car with NEWTON, a bicycle company could shoot a brand film in central Stockholm in just one day, and thereby produce great content on a restricted budget
BIKEID BRAND FILM 2018
By Joachim Thörnqvist
Joachim Thörnqvist is a Swedish Director of Photography with a solid background as Key Grip in film making with cranes and tracking vehicles. For this production, Joachim took help of the gaffer and precision driver Peter Kjellberg, utilizing his camera car, rigged with a Flowcine Black Arm on speed rail. With a NEWTON from the rental company Ljud & Bild, they mounted a RED Weapon Helium 8K with a Canon 17-120 Cine-Servo Zoom Lens, all operated by Joachim via the DOMINION remote controller. The material was shot during one day in October 2017, engaging 3 bicycle riders under the direction of Brennan Stasiewicz.
BIKEID is a Swedish based bicycle company with a small warehouse and shop in central Stockholm. Their mission is to create the purest bicycle experience possible, providing a simple ride with no mess and for them, there is a nostalgic romance in the clean but elegant form of a bicycle. To communicate this passion, they assigned the DOP Joachim Thörnqvist, who on a limited budget set out to produce a brand film reflecting their art.
