Event
Global Citizen Festival is an annual event to fight global poverty and 2 December 2018 it was held in Johannesburg, South Africa to honor Nelson Mandela. The all-day festival took place between noon and 11 pm in FNB Stadium, which is South Africa’s biggest stadium.Trevor Noah hosted the event with a diversity of international celebrity speakers and performances by for example Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin.
The whole 11 hour event was broadcast live on for example Youtube and out of 36 broadcast cameras, 5 were remote controlled by NEWTON systems, supplied by our customers RailCam Robotic Systems, Rail & Tracking Systems, Spidercam GmbH and Luna Remote Systems. The NEWTON stabilized heads were mounted on 2 RTS telescopic rail systems, a MAT Towercam, a Spidercam Light 3D cable cam and one fixed on the stage as the first picture below shows.
